The glue seals the vein and the blood is re-routed into normal healthy veins. This procedure is also better tolerated because there is no heating during the procedure.
Radiofrequency Ablation
Radiofrequency ablation is a popular treatment for varicose veins. During this procedure a thin catheter is inserted into the diseased vein under ultrasound guidance. Once the catheter is confirmed to be in proper location, radiofrequency energy is deposited within the vein. This causes the vein to collapse and is resorbed naturally by the body. Over the following weeks, you will see the varicose veins diminish in size and notice improvement in your symptoms related to the varicose veins.
Sclerotherapy
